Spring Evening

The azaleas in the garden have begun to bloom and are in full bloom.

The season progresses quickly from cherry blossoms to fresh greenery, the tea using “ro” is the last in April.

The hanging scroll is "竹為君葉々起清風" (Bamboo leaves create a fresh breeze for you). It depicts the atmosphere of a fresh breeze blowing through the bamboo forest. It also represents that spring is a time for new beginnings, and that a bright future will open up.

The shelve is called "Ryusei-dana". It features a round window using the handle of a ladle. the “mizusashi” is dyed a blue "bamboo". So that you can feel the cool breeze of the bamboo forest from the round window.

The tea is served by the procedure called "nagashi-date”. In this case, the position of utensils is different from the standard position. (Pictured above) The name indicates that it is a "trailing" or "drifting" style. In the "nagashi-date”, the “mizusashi” is placed to the right of the kettle, and the host faces the customers. It's a style for enjoying tea while talking with close people in a small group.

Today sweets are “fuyaki” grilled with cute spring flowers. (Bottom photo)

The “natsume" has a “willow" lacquer design. The cherry blossoms present this spring in the courtyard🌸
