This year it is also the time to hang "safely".
It has been a tough year due to COVID-19 disasters, but I am grateful to be healthy and wish you all the best for next year.
The pictures are the last lesson of this year. The kimono with chic colors is so nice.
The “chaire” (container for powdered thick tee) is made in Bizen where is one of famous old kilns in Japan. The tea bowl is called “Kuroraku” (“Raku” ware ceramics covered with black opaque glaze) made in Kyoto. It is named "Forest". You can see the white mountains in the haze on the outside.
The “natsume” (container for powdered thin tee) is made of Wajima lacquer named "Sekka"(snow flowers). There are seven snowflake patterns, each with a delicate design, seem to shine in jet-black. The artist who made this is "Yonemura Shisai". He wrote in the self-introduction that he learned gold lacquer work by himself and continue to do his best as a lacquer workman. It is one of my favorite works suitable for this time of year.
The dry sweets are "Sanuki Wasanbon", a souvenir of Kagawa, Shikoku. This is the scenery of the Seto Inland Sea in Japan~
While I was worried about various things, I had everyone come and this year's lesson was completed successfully. I hope that next year will be a good year.
